Making Your First Hire As a Small Business Owner
It's a scary thing to hire someone... but completely worth it! I just recently (over the past two years) started hiring for a variety of things that I need done for my business and I don't have the capacity to handle.
I started by making a list of things I love to do, and things I dread doing. The dread list is who you should hire for! For me it was a social media strategist & an SEO expert.
Each has their own assignments that I work directly with. IT HAS PAID OFF people. By hiring experts, you can stick to the things in your business that you love to do and what clients are hiring you for.
I highly recommend reading Brutally Honest by Emily Cohen where she talks a lot about making that first hire and how important it is if you want to expand your business. It's scary to make that leap, but when you do, you see so many benefits.
